Inside this Derbyshire holiday cottage
The perfect retreat for two people, Courtyard Cottage has a light and airy open-plan living space with wood floors and high, beamed ceilings. The furnishings and fittings are of the highest quality, with thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay here feel extra special.
The log burning stove is a must for cosy winter evenings, with kindling and logs provided. Triple aspect windows allow the sunshine to flood in and provide great views over the surrounding countryside.
In the lounge area you’ll find a large, comfortable sofa and a coffee table. There’s also an antique wooden desk and a selection of local guidebooks and novels. The 55-inch Smart TV with Freeview has an articulated screen so that you can enjoy a film as you relax on the sofa in the evening or watch the morning news over breakfast in the dining area.
The accommodation here is on the ground floor, on one level, with easy access from the quiet courtyard.
The fitted kitchen is bright and modern, equipped with everything you might need for a home-from-home stay, including an oven, microwave, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, cafetière and toaster. For stays of two nights or more, you’ll find fresh bacon and eggs, orange juice, milk, and cereals waiting for you, as well as bread, butter, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits.
There’s even a washing machine in case the Peak District weather gets the better of you and your clothing! The kitchen is filled with high-quality kitchenware. Crockery, glassware and cutlery are all provided, as well as store cupboard essentials, dishcloths, tea towels, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. An iron and ironing board are also provided.
The dining area has a large wooden dining table with four chairs, allowing ample room for you to enjoy your meals together, or to spread out your maps and plan your Peak District adventures!
The bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed with crisp, fresh cotton bed linen. There are bedside tables and a double wardrobe to unpack your belongings into, as well as a dressing table with stool.
The large, modern en-suite shower room has a WC, double hand basin, heated towel rail and a shower big enough for two, not to mention a bluetooth-compatible mirror to play music as you start your day! Complimentary luxury toiletries are provided, as are beautifully soft Egyptian cotton bath sheets.
Courtyard Cottage is warm and cosy, with central heating throughout and thermostatically controlled radiators in every room for your comfort.
Outside this Derbyshire Dales accommodation
Outside there is a private garden with a patio and lawned area for you to soak up the fresh air and magnificent views. Patio furniture for two people is provided, so that you can dine al fresco or enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun set over the Peak District hills.
The private garden is also home to a rustic Japanese whirlpool bath (similar to a hot tub), so you can relax outdoors while taking in the breathtaking views. The bath is made from cedar wood and can be filled with hot, fresh water with no chemicals for a calming outdoor experience.
Important information:
Courtyard Cottage is located on an equine farm set in 50 acres of rolling countryside in the Peak District National Park. We have some beautiful horses here. You will see and hear them in the daytime from 9am onwards, but you will not be disturbed at night, everything here is wonderfully peaceful.
Although we do not advertise that we take dogs, we will consider a well-behaved, neutered dog. Please enquire on booking.
Courtyard Cottage has ample free parking is available right outside the door.
Access is via a key safe so that you can come and go as you please.
With a minimum of one night booking and no specified changeover days, we can be extremely flexible to suit your requirements.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property.
